Asturias seeks to establish itself as the best tourist destination despite the debacle of the pandemic

It is the tourist region that has best weathered the storm of COVID-19. In 2020, the Principality of Asturias received 1,263,161 tourists who in turn generated 3,526,442 overnight stays. In relation to the previous year, these figures represent falls of 46.4% and 38.8% respectively, and percentages that are less unfavorable than those of the rest of the autonomous communities. In Spain, the average decrease in tourists was 66.3% and 69.3% in overnight stays.
