Arucas joins the VioGén System to collaborate with the security forces

The Gran Canaria municipality of Arucas has joined the VioGén System and will collaborate with the State Security Forces and Bodies to fight against gender violence. "We are going to close the year by approaching 50% of the Canarian municipalities covered by the State-municipal police collaboration network to protect battered women and their children," highlights the Government delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana.

The municipality has become the 26th town in the entire Archipelago to join the VioGén System, launched in 2007.
