Arturo Pérez-Reverte and Ramón Andrés, Critics Awards 2020

Gijón, Jun 5 (EFE) .- The novelist Arturo Pérez-Reverte for "Line of Fire" and the poet Ramón Andrés for "The trees that remain" have been awarded this Saturday with the Critics' Awards 2020 that are awarded annually by the literary critics to the best narrative and poetry books.

Pérez-Reverte and his story that evokes the battle of Ebro was among the favorites to obtain the award together with Sara Mesa for "Un amor" or Leonardo Padura for "Like dust in the wind".

The Spanish Association of Literary Critics (AECL) has granted these awards since 1956, the year in which Camilo José Cela received it for "La Cátira", and they are awarded to the best narrative and poetry books published in Spain the previous year in Spanish. Basque, Galician and Catalan.
