Arsenal has made official this Wednesday the transfer of Martin Odegaard, from Real Madrid.
The Norwegian footballer, who cut off his two-season loan with the Real society Last summer to return to the white club, he asked to leave in this winter market due to lack of minutes.
It is the fourth loan for Odegaard since he arrived at Madrid in 2014, from the Stromsgodset from Norway.
This season Odegaard had only played with the Chamartín club nnine encounters, seven of them in the league and two in the Champions League.
It is the s2nd loan from Real Madrid that Arsenal have in their ranks, after Dani Ceballos, who accumulates a season and a half in the Gunner team.
With Odegaard, Arsenal reinforces the position of playmaker, who had been orphaned after the departure of Mesut Özil. His competition in that position will be that of the young Emile smith rowe, to which Mikel Arteta has been giving confidence in recent days.
Odegaard will seek to start in the two competitions in which Arsenal is alive, the premier League, where he is eighth, and the Europa League, where he is qualified for the round of 32, in which they will face the Portuguese Benfica.
His first game could come this Saturday against him Manchester United.
