Agents of the National Police have arrested a man and a woman in Valencia, parents of a young minor, for a crime of common ill-treatment in the family aggravated by conduct constituting hate crime, after hitting and insulting for years by not accepting their sexual condition.
According to the police, the detainees have 37 and 35 years, respectively, and both even proposed to their son that if he changed his orientation they would give him more freedom and they would take him to a doctor to be cured.
The investigations began in the middle of this month when the police know that a young minor could be subjected to abuse by their parents because of their sexual condition.
The agents found out that, apparently, the young man had lived with his grandparents in his country of origin until he came to Spain to live with his parents.
"At some point of the coexistence, the parents saw him as effeminate and apparently began to beat and insult him as they did not accept his sexual condition", says the Police.
After several verifications, the agents detained the parents of the minor as alleged perpetrators of a crime of habitual mistreatment in the family environment aggravated by conduct constituting a hate crime.
The detainees, with police records, they went to court, who ruled his release with a restraining order to his son, who has been placed under the custody of a relative.
