Armas promises to include early reception in the protocol against the virus - La Provincia

The Minister of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of Canary Islands Government, Manuela Armas, has committed to the representatives of the mothers and fathers associations (AMPAs) of all the islands to include early reception and extracurricular activities in the school protocol for the 2020-2021 academic year that will address the current situation of pandemic.

This was expressed during the meeting they held this Thursday and in which they exchanged impressions on said protocol in an environment of "cordiality and understanding", according to the Canarian Ministry of Education in a press release.

Specifically, Armas expressed its support for the proposal to include in the contingency plans of the educational centers an annex with the health and safety requirements required for early reception and extracurricular activities.

Likewise, the counselor has guaranteed the representatives of the AMPAs that "she will keep all channels of communication open with families", at the same time that they have shown their willingness to collaborate so that the return to classrooms is developed "with confidence and security".
