The website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has a section on “travel recommendations” that details, country by country, the conditions of each of them with the clear warning that the situation is very unpredictable and can change from one day to the next. other.

Many are still closed to tourism, others are open but require negative PCR, quarantine and certificates, and all blame the traveler himself for the consequences of setting out to travel the world when the pandemic has not yet been controlled.

These are, by way of example, the recommendations and restrictions for tourists in some of the main destinations chosen by the Spanish:




The entry of foreigners who have been in any country of the Schengen Area in the previous 14 days is prohibited.

Those travelers who, because they are included in the exceptions, or because they have obtained an authorization from the US embassy in Madrid, can travel to the United States, must have a negative viral test carried out in the previous 72 hours, or proof of have effectively recovered from the virus.


It is advisable to limit trips to those strictly necessary.

Although there are no restrictions to enter, the declaration of a health emergency in the country – with a red traffic light (critical situation) in several states – has led to the introduction of preventive and restrictive measures (closure of hotels, restaurants, places of entertainment , and traffic limitations on some highways and cities), which vary from state to state.


The incidence of the pandemic has worsened in the country in the last month, so the authorities have taken measures to reduce infections, although the main airports are open.

Negative PCR is required at least 72 hours before the flight and to fulfill isolation in designated hotel facilities.

A payment PCR test is also required at the airport and a second PCR test on the fifth day of arrival.

Hotels and rental houses for tourists in Cuba are open and interprovincial movements are allowed for both residents and tourists, although there may be specific restrictions.


Given the extension of the Emergency Declaration, travelers are advised to reconsider their travel plans.

However, no type of test will be requested prior to entering the country nor will massive tests be carried out upon arrival, but rather random tests of rapid application. There are no restrictions on interior mobility.


The Government has decreed a health emergency until December 31, 2021, which includes the closure of borders and a ban on the entry of non-resident foreigners.


It is recommended not to travel to Ecuador except for “exceptional and urgent” reasons.

All travelers must present a PCR test or negative antigen test carried out up to 3 days before arrival in Ecuador, or a vaccination card against covid-19.


There are no limitations on the entry of passengers from Spain.

Foreigners who do not have a courtesy or diplomatic visa must have a negative PCR test carried out in a period not exceeding 96 hours before boarding.

In case of not having said test, they can be performed in Colombia and do preventive isolation until they have a negative result or carry out a preventive isolation of 14 days.



MOROCCO The authorities have suspended air connections between Morocco and Spain until at least June 10.

Travelers from Spain may enter with a negative PCR performed within 96 hours prior to the trip. Travelers from Spain should not quarantine.


Travel to Tanzania is “strongly” discouraged due to the pandemic.

It is recommended not to make unnecessary or non-urgent trips.

Non-Japanese are prohibited from entering the country, except for residents or persons who are considered exceptional humanitarian cases.


Although the borders are still formally closed, Spaniards who wish to travel to Thailand can do so only by plane, with an entry permit issued by the embassy.

In addition, they must comply with a 14-day quarantine in officially authorized hotels, even if they are vaccinated. It is recommended not to travel to Turkey. A negative PCR test performed 72 hours before is required.
