Apple opens FaceTime to Android and Windows

Manzana presented this Monday the new operating system for iPhone, iOS 15, in which it has updated the FaceTime video calling service to make it accessible to Android and Windows users, in the style of Zoom, the most popular platform of its kind since the pandemic of covid-19.

The new Facetime introduces the possibility of creating links for calls that can be shared with other users, as well as a "grid" display system -in which all participants in the call appear with the same dimensions next to each other-, and Portrait mode to automatically blur backgrounds.

The Cupertino (California) firm began with this announcement its annual WWDC developer conference, that this year is celebrated in digital format due to the pandemic and that will last until next Thursday.
