The seventh day of LaLiga Santander closed with a reality shower for Atlético and Real Madrid, who were left three and two points against Alavés and Villarreal, respectively, and with an FC Barcelona that has regained its smile thanks to the resounding victory against Levante at the Camp Nou and the return with a goal from Ansu Fati, who is called to be the Blaugrana beacon after Messi’s departure. From above, Sevilla liquidated Espanyol in the Pizjuán and is already third three points behind the whites with a pending match. The Royal Society did not fail either and is consolidated in the second place.
For the lower area of the table, Alavés added his first points of the course by defeating Simeone’s team, which leaves bottom Getafe with a zero under their belt. The relegation zone is completed by Granada, who still do not know what it is to win this season.
The next day will leave a height duel on Saturday night: Atlético de Madrid – FC Barcelona.
Alaves – Athletic (1-0)
The Atlético de Madrid suffered his first defeat of the season against Deportivo Alavés (1-0) in a flat match of the reigning League champion, who pressed in the final minutes with all the artillery, but could not avoid an expected setback at the start of the seventh day of the Santander League.
Valencia – Athletic (1-1)
Valencia remains in the European zone with 11 after saving a point in the 94th minute thanks to Marcos André. Mestalla pressed again and José Bordalás’ team showed a renewed faith in their possibilities. Marcelino’s return to Mestalla, this time on the Athletic Club bench, touched three points with a header from Iñigo Martínez in the 68th minute.
Sevilla – Espanyol (2-0)
The Sevilla beat Espanyol (2-0), despite playing half an hour with one less due to the expulsion with two yellow cards in half a minute by Thomas Delaney, to establish himself in the upper zone of LaLiga. Julen Lopetegui’s men have 14 points with a pending match, seconds in the table taking advantage of the defeat of Atlético.
Real Madrid – Villarreal (0-0)
The Real Madrid left a draw (0-0) at the Santiago Bernabéu this Saturday against Villarreal, submitted for much of the match by the ‘submarine’, owner of the ball and the chances. The white box yielded its second draw, by five victories, surpassed by a rival who took the de Carlo Ancelotti. Villarreal played with personality and quality but lacked a goal.
Mallorca – Osasuna (2-3)
In morning session, Osasuna left another good game at home, this time in Mallorca, to be stuck with Europe with 11 points, one from Barça and Betis. Those of Jagoba Arrasate took the victory in the 88th minute with a goal from Javi Martínez, after the Balearic Islands traced a first goal from Cote.
Barcelona – Raise (3-0)
The FC Barcelona has reacted this Sunday with a solid victory against Levante UD (3-0), a meeting at Memphis Depay and Luuk de Jong soon opened the can to scare away the ghosts and end a streak of three games without a win for Ronald Koeman’s men, all in the return to the pitch of an Ansu Fati who closed the win. With the Dutch coach watching the game from the stands due to his expulsion at the Nuevo Mirandilla, the Barça team managed to calm the spirits of the fans in a comfortable game.
Rayo – Cádiz (3-1)
Rayo Vallecano continues in the European zone with Falcao’s punch. The Colombian also participated in Álvaro García’s 1-0 score at nine minutes. Cádiz was not fine behind and Rayo generated danger on the wings, with the but of the ball stopped in the 1-1 of Haroyan. Cervera’s men let loose ‘Tigre’ Falcao, who won the game at the near post to finish it 2-1. El Rayo improved even in the second half and authoritatively marked his third victory in a row.
Real Sociedad – Elche (1-0)
The Real Sociedad beat Elche (1-0) this Sunday to be one point behind the leader Real Madrid in the seventh day of LaLiga Santander. The ‘txuri-urdin’ team won against a once again competitive Elche but without a goal, no matter how much reinforcement he has achieved. Lucas Pérez and Benedetto forgave, and the local dominance at the Reale Arena ended up bearing fruit, albeit with a visitor gift. Enzo Roco was pointed back again and Oyarzabal did not miss.
Betis – Getafe (2-0)
Real Betis knocked down (2-0) a Getafe that does not raise its head. The Sevillian team works and hits in a whirlwind. Willian José made the double that blushed an inoperative Getafe and remains the only team without scoring. Míchel’s men were outmatched on all sides, with Fekir sharing the game. Despite the rotations thinking about the European week, those of Pellegrini took advantage of the need and doubts of a Getafe that when he wanted to go for the tie he was punished.
Celta – Granada (1-0)
Celta took three vital points this Monday in their duel in Balaídos against Granada, thanks to a goal in minute 94 from Denis Suárez that it took a leading role that seemed destined for the goalkeepers of both teams and that leaves Robert Moreno very touched. The Galician midfielder solved for Eduardo Coudet’s team a meeting that was too tense because of what was at stake for both.
