The Spanish Ana Peleteiro Y Jorge Ureña have been elected this Friday by popular vote as athletes of the month of March, through the European Athletics Association, after the protagonism of both in the recent European 'indoor' from Glasgow.
The votes came through the social networks of 'European Athletics' since Tuesday and Ureña came out as a clear winner with a total of 6,794 votes, ahead of the man of the month of February, Jakob Ingebrigtsen (5,867).
Onil's won in heptathlon one of the three Spanish gold medals in Glasgow, with 6,218, world leader of the year, ahead of Tim Duckworth (6,156) and Ilya Shkurenyov (6145).
The election of Peleteiro was more adjusted, with 3,040 votes, ahead of Katarina Johnson-Thompson (2910) and Ivana Spanovic (2854 votes). The Galician jumper it was proclaimed champion of Europe in triple jump, with record of Spain (14.73).
