Google has introduced a new feature in its Maps service that will show, throughthe icon of a wheelchair, if it is an accessible place and allows internal mobility in a wheelchair.

Maps has updated the information of 15 million places around the worldto show if they are wheelchair accessible, which will also facilitate mobility for parents who carry a baby stroller or people with reduced mobility, as the company says in a statement.

This new feature must be activated in the configuration menu, available with thelatest version of the ‘app’ for iOS and Android,in the United States, Japan, Australia and the United Kingdom -and soon in more countries-.

Once activated, it will show with a wheelchair icon the places that have an entrance or allow accessible mobility.
