An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 shakes P.Rico after hours of several aftershocks

An earthquake of preliminary magnitude of 5.9 shook Puerto Rico on Saturday, which since Friday afternoon records aftershocks of different intensity that follow the 6.4 earthquake that hit the island last Tuesday causing a death, 2,000 refugees and thousands of damaged homes.

The Puerto Rico Seismic Network reported that there is no tsunami warning, warning or surveillance for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for this latest tremor.

The quake was located at a point between latitude 17,937, and longitude -66,717 at a depth of 32 kilometers at a location 14.8 kilometers south of Peñuelas.
