A quake of 4 degrees on the Richter scale, with epicenter in the Cabo de Palos, has been felt in different municipalities of the province of Alicante, although it has not caused personal or material damage.
According to the National Geographic Institute (IGN), the earthquake occurred on the coast, at 17:16 hours and ten kilometers deep.
Sources of the Consortium of Firemen of Alicante have informed to EFE that they have received several calls of neighbors of different municipalities of the province that alerted that they had felt an earthquake.
However, they have indicated that they have not had to perform any service in this regard.
Sources of Emergencies of the Generalitat have informed that the telephone 112 has received 37 calls, of which 13 have been made from Alicante; 5 from Santa Pola; 4 from Torrevieja; 3 from Elche; 2 of El Campello; 2 of Elda; 1 of Gandía and 1 of San Juan.
The same sources have indicated that they are not aware of personal or material damages as a result of the earthquake.
