The festival WARM UP Levante Star has a new leader in its programming, Amaia. The pamplonesa does not need presentation: after winning Operación Triunfo 2017, the composer and performer has teamed up with Refree to compose and produce themes such as the precious New Place. Thus, the new compositions of Amaia will be heard in Murcia sooner than anywhere else. A musical appointment to be held on May 3 and 4, 2019.
She also joined the WARM UP poster Zahara, one of the favorite composers of the Navarrese artist. The Jaén is the author of hymns such as Con Las Ganas and has shown an undeniable artistic growth with her arrival to the record independence and the editing of Santa Y Astronaut. For its part, La M.O.D.A., one of the fastest growing national bands in the last five years, will present at La Fica the topics of 7:47 (Not another minute), the EP that was recorded a few months ago by the legendary Steve Albini, producer of the best albums of Nirvana or Pixies.
From outside our borders will come the electronic pop of The Sound Of Arrows and Javiera Mena. The Swedish duo published in 2017 their first album in seven years, Stay Free, an evocative and precious technopop album that contained such beautiful songs as Beautiful Life or Do not Worry, and which they gave continuity just four months ago with EP1. The Chilean artist, meanwhile, published in 2018 Mirror, to offer an album with more Latin touches than ever.
The Shivas is another of the international bands of the next edition. His live show, blessed by the legendary Calvin Johnson, drinks from surf-rock, pop and the r'n'r of the 60s to create luminous and sweet harmonies. Also from the United States and with guitars by flag, The Molochs will bring to La Fica their psychedelic pop-rock that pairs them with bands like Allah-Las or Real Estate.
In this way Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Two Door Cinema Club, Vetusta Morla, Teenage Fanclub, Roosevelt or La Casa Azul have from now on new partners in WARM UP Estrella de Levante. The first major festival of the season is held at the La Fica venue in Murcia and adds 13 names to its line up, a musical selection that delves into the eclecticism of its proposal.
The small print of the poster
The small print of this session reaffirms the commitment of WARM UP Estrella de Levante with the new wave of national creators. Thus, together with two of the best electronic icons of the country in 2018 (Putochinomaricón and Baiuca), the festival confirms the unclassifiable electronics of the Bilbao Rrucculla or the daring fusion of the new project of Meneo, Peinetta.
In the poster there is also room for the new scene of creators from Murcia: the danceable pop of Claim will return to La Fica, while Marcelo Criminal will perform for the first time in the festival presenting the themes that have catapulted him as the great writer of underground songs patriotic They join the poster along with other very interesting names already confirmed as Catnapp and their Berliner electronic, the Colombian Pedrina and its luminous pop or the bands Cariño and Axolotes Mexicanos.
