Almost 40,000 Canarian families have requested the 200 euro bonus

A total of
38,209 canaries have requested the
200 euro voucher launched by the
Condition to deal with the current crisis situation generated by the
inflation and the consequences of the Ukrainian war. This aid is intended for vulnerable low-income families.

The initiative was approved by
Minister council at the end of last June as part of a package of measures that also includes

discount for public ground transportation -which reaches 100% to suburban and medium-distance trains in the peninsula and the Balearic Islands and 50% to buses in the archipelago-.

The number of requests for the aforementioned voucher registered in the Canarian community represents
8% of those accounted for nationally by
Tax agency -the body in charge of managing this aid-, which rise to
476,878 until the beginning of this month of August.

The Government's forecast is that this measure will benefit
2.7 million peoplefor what they have been budgeted
540 million.

The bonus - which
will be paid in a single payment- Payment has already begun, although the
The application period will remain open until September 30. Salaried, self-employed and unemployed people registered in the employment offices are eligible for this aid.

Beneficiaries

To receive those 200 euros, the beneficiaries must reside in households in which the sum of the income received by the cohabitants was, during the year 2021, 14,000 euros and whose assets, discounting the habitual residence, do not exceed 41,200 euros.

People who already receive the Minimum Income are excluded from this aid. Vital (IMV) or receive a pension, contributory or not, because specific measures have already been established for these groups.

Thus, it has already contemplated the extension of the 15% increase in vital income or non-contributory pensions, which implies annual increases of more than 200 euros.

In the case of
contributory pensionsthe Government already guarantees an increase that is in line with the inflation that is registered to guarantee that it does not produce a decrease in purchasing power.
