Madrid, Jul 12 (EFE) .- All the communities, except those from the north of the peninsula and the Canary Islands, are now on alert – orange or yellow – for high temperatures that will register up to 40 degrees, reports the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) in his web page.
Madrid has activated the orange alert (significant risk) for values that will reach 40 degrees in the metropolitan area, Henares, Las Vegas and areas of the south and west; in the mountains the thermometers will rise to 37 degrees.
Castilla-La Mancha is with orange notice in all its provinces, except Ciudad Real, for intense heat between 39 and 40 degrees in the Albacete manche, the Cuenca manche, in the Alcarria and the Tajo valley.
In Aragon there is an orange alert in the provinces of Huesca and Zaragoza where the thermometers will mark 39-40 degrees in points of the Ribera del Ebro, while in Teruel there is yellow warning (risk) for temperatures of 38 degrees in Albarracín, Jiloca and Bajo Aragón .
All of Castilla y León is on yellow alert for high temperatures between 36 and 38 degrees, except for the provinces of Ávila and Zamora where the orange warning has been activated by maximums of up to 40 degrees.
The province of Lleida (Catalonia) maintains the orange alert by values of 40 degrees in zones of the central Depression; in Barcelona and Tarragona the yellow alert for heat persists and will rise to 36 degrees.
In Andalusia, only Jaén is with an orange alert for maximum of 40 degrees in the Guadalquivir valley, while in Córdoba, Almería and Granada, in yellow warning, thermometers will rise to 39 degrees.
The Valencian Community continues with yellow alert in Alicante by values of 38 degrees in the northern coast and with orange warning for values s of 39 degrees in points of the interior of Valencia.
The communities of Murcia, Balearic Islands, Extremadura and Galicia maintain the yellow warning by maximums that will oscillate between 36 and 38 degrees.
The Aemet warns that with the orange alert there is an important meteorological risk and a certain degree of danger for the usual activities, and with the yellow there is no meteorological risk for the population in general, although it is for specific activities.
