Last night, more than a hundred attendees had the privilege of experiencing the emotion evoked by the piano in

Santa Catalina Classics Festival.
The II edition of Santa Catalina Classics began last July, with the exceptional voice of the
Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórezwho performed a masterful performance of some of the most relevant works from the Belcanto repertoire.
This September night has once again confirmed that culture, in its most elegant and distinguished meaning, is an ever-present value and a firm commitment of the Barceló Hotel Group.
In his magnificent performance, which left no one indifferent, Alexei Volodin presented, with brilliant technique, a recital dedicated to some of the most representative pieces of the
19th century romantic repertoireamong which stood out, the Fantasy in F minor and the famous Polonaise-Fantaisie, by Chopin, as well as the Pictures at an exhibition, by Mussorgsky.
In Volodin's own words "I feel very happy that meetings like this are taking place, and that I can participate in them." In addition, he expressed his appreciation to the Barceló Hotel Group for organizing this type of cultural activity «initiatives like this are very important on the part of private companies to promote culture. Especially what the Barceló Hotel Group is doing, to
promote classical music in spaces as unique as this one».
"Well, first of all, I'm really happy that they're doing this kind of thing. And the more classical music events that take place in places like this, the better. And I am very happy that I am also participating in this. I think it's a wonderful initiative and I hope they do more things like this in the future."
With the celebration of this event, Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria reaffirms itself as the place where culture and art come together, positioning it as
meeting point and reference for artists and personalities linked to the cultural field, since it was inaugurated more than 130 years ago.
