The company Air Nostrum and the Sepla pilots' union have reached an agreement that ends the strike started yesterday, at the beginning of Holy Week, in which 49 flights were canceled from this airline that is part of the Ilai group and that it operates as a regional Iberia line, business sources have reported.
Sources of Air Nostrum have indicated this Tuesday that the company is "working intensively" to recover most of the canceled flights on Wednesday, April 17, while flights on April 22, 23 and 24 will be operated as normal .
Despite the agreement, the 47 cancellations announced for Tuesday, April 16, are maintained due to the technical difficulty of reprogramming the flights and the late date of the agreement, already at dawn after two days of negotiations.
The Sepla had called the strike to denounce the diversion of production that, in his opinion, Air Nostrum carries out to other airlines of the same owners.
The pilots' union already carried out several days of strike in November 2018 for the same reasons and in December it reached an agreement that limited or regulated to 20% the number of airplanes and to 23.5% the hours of flight (offered kilometer seat-AKO) that the company can outsource to other companies in the regional Iberia service.
