Agreement on pension reform stalls due to sustainability factor

The social agreement on pensions is getting complicated for Minister José Luis Escrivá. The person in charge of the pension reform has been announcing for a long time that the pact with unions and employers is "imminent", but for the moment it has not managed to close. This last week it seemed that the agreement was a matter of "days" after approach postures in various elements, such as early retirement, several sources of social dialogue agreed. And neither: the deal got stuck once again. On this occasion, especially in relation to the unions, after the minister's announcement that the so-called 'sustainability factor' of the Rajoy reform would not be repealed in this first package of the reform but in the second. "It is not what was agreed," indicate union sources.
