Bob and Corrine Johnson were an elderly couple from San Peter, within Nicollet County in the US state of Minnesota, who married when they were young and were together for 68 years, until death separated them. Or at least, he tried to separate them, because they died a day apart.
He was 88 years old and she was 87. They lived in their country house until six months ago, when Bob was diagnosed with cancer and had to be hospitalized. Corrine has spent time with him since then, although he soon joined and was hospitalized, as he was detected congestive heart failure.
Corrine died earlier, it was November 24, and Bob would die 33 hours later, he reported Kare TV.
"When Mom passed away, they pulled the curtain between the two beds, he just looked at her," said Beth Kinkeade, one of the couple's seven children. “As soon as Mom died, he went downhill and died in one day. It's hard to imagine that it is a coincidence, ”said Bruce Johnson, another of the children.
