Actor and director Gerardo Malla dies at 84



Actor and theater director Gerardo Malla has passed away this Friday at 84 years of age, as reported by friends and family on social networks.

Malla, father of Miguel and Coque, debuted as a professional actor in 1959 at the Spanish Theater in Madrid and in 1974 he began his career as a theater director. Together with José Luis Alonso de Santos, Rafael Álvarez and Jesús Cimarro, he founded the theater production company Pentación. During his last years participated in various television productions such as 'The Ministry of Time' or 'The cathedral of evil'. He said goodbye to his role as a theater actor with 'La familia de Pascual Duarte' (2011) and 'Entre Marta y Lope' (2013).
