ACS has managed to get on the British high-speed train -High Speed Two Limited (HS2) -. After not being awarded the construction of any of the sections of the project, the group presided over by Florentino Pérez has taken over the contract of the new London station of Euston of the British AVE, as announced in a statement. ACS will execute the order, valued at more than 2,000 million euros, through its subsidiary Dragados and in partnership with the British construction company Mace. The contract includes the design, construction, start-up and delivery of the new Euston station, right in the center of the British capital.
The work, which makes ACS the only Spanish company participating in the project, will begin in the first phase this year and will be completed in 2033. Among the actions to be carried out by the Spanish group and its partner are the construction of six new platforms High speed of 450 meters in length, the extension of the Euston metro station or the remodeling of the taxi and bus station.
The HS2 is an ambitious project that involves a total investment of 70,000 million euros and will connect, by high-speed trains, the British capital with Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds, Manchester and more than 25 stations in the north of the country.
