A woman becomes sterile after 17 abortions in 6 years
Xiao Ju, a 27 year old Chinese woman, will not be able to have children after having undergone a total of 17 interventions for abortion in just six years, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail"
The doctors could not do anything to prevent the girl from becoming sterile to the state in which her uterus was, which was very damaged as a result of all the interventions to which it was submitted.
The gynecology chief of the Shiyan Hospital of Maternity and Child Health Care in China previously advised Xiao Ju that avoid abort again, but she opposed and he preferred to go ahead with his decision.
The young woman underwent her first abortion when she was just 21 years old, age with which she started dating her current boyfriend with whom she has been six years and with whom she apparently does not use any contraceptive.
Since then, Xiao Ju became a regular patient, with an average of nearly three abortions per year. The doctor says she advised the patient to take care of her son and she answered: "If you do not do this abortion, then stay with this baby", recognizing that he did not have the capacity to raise a child.
A large number of young people in China have very little information on sexual health due to the lack of sexual education that should be taught more in schools.
