Three men have died today in the Portuguese city of Aveiro dragged by a wave of large dimensions, while practicing recreational fishing on a pier in the town.
According to sources confirmed by EFE firefighters from Aveiro, the events took place at the São Jacinto dock at 10:50 local time.
In the first moment two of the three fishermen were rescued without life and an hour later the third mortal was found in the sea.
The rescue involved eight firefighters, members of the Maritime Police and two ambulances.
The city of Aveiro is located on the coast of the Central region of Portugal.
