A Spanish food product rises again with a distinction in a worldwide contest. He Olisone Extra Virgin Almazar Selectiona has won the gold medal in the NYOOC World Olive Oil Competition, some awards considered as the Oscars of oils and that were held last May in New York. The product is made in Córdoba and sold at the Lidl supermarket chain at a price of 3.95 euros for a 500 ml bottle.

In a note sent by Lidl, the chain recalls that the bottles of Olisone Extra Virgin Selección Almazara are available in 600 supermarkets based in Spain. Likewise, the German distribution company stresses that this variety has turned out to be the cheapest among all the awarded, since the average price of the oils presented is around eight euros for 500 ml.

The Olisone category, Lidl’s own brand of oils, accumulates 13 awards from some of the most famous and prestigious olive oil competitions. In addition, this same reference has the gourmet medal at the AVPA Paris. This product of the Olisone brand is made from olives from Priego (Córdoba) and pairs well with different dishes of salmon, grilled sardines or beef, among others, thanks to its fruit notes and reminiscent of the smell of tomato leaves. and olive.
