A sentence lowers a fine for poorly calibrated radar

Two million times a year the same sequence is repeated. A vehicle with excessive speed passes in front of a fixed radar. A photo is taken and the fine arrives. But have we really circulated at that speed? The DGT ensures that radars fine by applying the margin of error, that is, all sanctions already include variation for the benefit of drivers. That is why there are more and more sentences, like the last one in Pontevedra, where the judges understand that the margin is not applied by default. The law does make clear the percentages of error, from 5 to 7 percent, but not how they apply.
