A score of companies that dedicate their activity to the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has today opened its doors to students and former Vocational Training (FP) students of the same discipline, in order to put highlight the needs of the labor market. It is a meeting that for the third consecutive year organizes the Society of Economic Promotion of Gran Canaria (SPEGC), in order to promote the recruitment of students and graduates in leading companies in the Canary Islands.
The appointment has taken as stage the Canary Room of the fairground Infear, And on this occasion it has counted with the participation of 250 students from six educational centers of the Island. "We want an approach to take place among all the students who complete their formative cycles of Computing and Telecommunications, both in the middle and upper levels, and the twenty most important ICT companies in Gran Canaria ", emphasized Cosme García, director-manager of the SPEGC.
As a new detail, this year the event has extended its duration and has started at 09.00 and is expected to conclude at 13.30. "We have almost two and a half hours more than last year," García explained. In addition, attendees had the opportunity to attend a talk starring the expert in Human Resources, Ximo Salas, which was titled #Noseasinvisible. Through it, Salas highlighted some keys to improve the possibilities of hiring students when it comes to contacting a company.
