A rider dies in a collision with a garbage truck in Madrid

A man died this Sunday night in a motorcycle accident in Madrid, in the Ambassadors area, after his vehicle collided head-on against a garbage truck.

The 48-year-old man was a rider, a motorcyclist for a delivery company, and after the collision, at the corner with Tomás Borrás street, he was treated by Samur-Civil Protection. The rider was in cardiorespiratory arrest and, after 30 minutes of resuscitation, his death has been confirmed.

Until the arrival of Samur-Civil Protection, the man has been treated by two nurses from the Clinical Hospital and by a retired Samur nurse, who have come down from their homes after hearing the accident, according to Emergencias Madrid.
