A relative of Esperanza Aguirre will convert the UGT training headquarters in Madrid into a hotel

Number 51, Calle Canarias, in Madrid, was until mid-2017 the headquarters of the Institute for Training and Social Studies (IFES), the UGT foundation dedicated to professional training. On June 17 of that year, the company El Arverjal Arrendamientos – whose sole administrator is Ignacio Mencos Valdés, cousin of Esperanza Aguirre’s husband, Fernando Ramírez de Haro Valdés – bought it. Madrid City Council just approved the change of use of the building, from industrial to lodging, to transform it into a hotel with 62 rooms.
