A minor of 13 years has died tonight after being run over by a van when she was crossing a pedestrian crossing on the Avenida de la Ilustración corner with Calle Ginzo de Limia in Barrio del Pilar in Madrid.
As reported to EFE sources of Emergencies Madrid, the event occurred at around 22.40 hours when the victim, along with a group of friends, crossed a pedestrian crossing regulated by traffic lights on the Avenue of Enlightenment and, for reasons still unknown, she was hit by the van.
Effective Samur and Civil Protection came to the scene of the accident where they found the thirteen-year-old displaced several meters from the place of impact, unconscious and with multiple serious injuries, including head, abdomen and chest, injuries that have caused the death, as reported by EFE sources of Emergencies Madrid.
A psychologist from Samur-Civil Protection has attended to family and friends.
As a result of the accident the Avenue of the Enlightenment has been cut to the deviation of the M.30 with the National I.
Municipal Police of Madrid has taken over the investigation of the event.
