A man has allegedly killed his wife in the early hours of Sunday with a gun and then has taken his own life in his home. It has been in the Granada town of La Zubia, sources close to the investigation have informed Europa Press. The civil Guard de Granada investigates both deaths, according to government subdelegation sources. It was a son of the couple who has discovered the corpses at noon this Sunday.
In principle, the investigation is based on the hypothesis that it has been the man, 43, who has killed his partner, 40, with a gun and then has taken his own life. The son of the couple who has discovered the bodies is of age, according to the same sources. The Civil Guard has confirmed that there were no previous complaints of abuse.
So far in 2019, 46 women have been killed by their partners or ex-partners in Spain. There are 1,021 fatal cases since the official count began in 2003.
