A good Betis ends the undefeated at Villarreal’s home

A good Betis this Sunday’s duel was raised against him Villarreal in the Ceramic after a match in which visitors were better that a rival who lost his undefeated condition at home this season and who was seen surprised by the first goal visitor in the last minute of the first half.

The goal left Villarreal very touched, who at the start of the second half could not contain the attacks of his opponent, who managed to increase his advantage seven minutes after the clash resumed against a team from Castellón that only reacted timidly after the goal penalty of Gerad Moreno.

The Villarreal started the clash by imposing his touch game and the creation paused from behind before a Betis unhurried and waiting behind his rival without losing position.

As this period progressed, the game leveled off, in large part due to the balance of forces in the center of the field as both formations had very similar schemes at the same time that they assumed few risks in defense.

Despite the fact that it was Unai Emery’s team that loomed over the rival area, this greater presence was not accompanied by dangerous actions from the most offensive players of the La Cerámica team.

When it seemed that both teams would sign a draw at half time Nabil Fekir was in charge of overtaking the visitors on the scoreboard in an action in which Miranda played fast, Raúl Albiol failed to clear and Fekir finished off after a great control to the long post without Asenjo being able to do anything.

The goal left Villareal so touched that not even passing through the dressing room allowed him to rebuild himself, since on the return to the game Betis grew and besieged the goal of the local team until seven minutes after the resumption of the clash, the Brazilian Emerson Royal achieved the second goal for the Betic team by finishing off only from a corner.

Villarreal was touched and Betis continued their offensive against an Asenjo who was forced to use himself thoroughly to prevent the wound from deepening.

But when Villarreal was worse, a penalty after VAR review Emerson’s hands put the home team in the game after Gerard Moreno turned the launch into a goal in the 64th minute.

Thus, the Castellón team radically changed its emotional state and Gerard Moreno himself was close to taking the equalizer with a strong shot from outside the area to which Joel Robles responded with a great hand.

However, after this reaction from Villarreal, the Chilean team Manuel Pellegrini regained tranquility and he hardly saw his triumph in danger given the lack of dangerousness of the local attackers.
