Digital solutions have shown that they can go where social failures arise and contribute to positively transform communities and productive and economic models. The deployment of the latest generation broadband networks has a direct impact on the socio-economic development of areas and regions. In fact, the deployment of fiber optics in rural areas will increase the average annual income by up to 3.9% and may contribute to increasing the employability of people through the promotion and creation of companies.
Telefónica, which has based its work agenda around Goal 9 “Build inclusive and sustainable connectivity”, has contributed through the deployment of sustainable infrastructure, resilient and quality, in addition to offering its capacity for innovation to address major global challenges. Entrepreneurship and training
