A civil guard had to take care of a baby and feed it, after his father suffered a heart attack while driving. Although both parents were in the car, the Civil Guard, of the Traffic Sub-Department of the Benemérita de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, had to give the bottle to the child before the nervousness that the mother showed after the incident.
"A most peculiar roadside assistance", describes what happened to the Civil Guard in a tweet, in which he has also published a photo of the woman with the child.
The incident took place last Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. The 112 reported to the Civil Guard of the existence of a vehicle stopped in the GC-3, southbound. Apparently, his driver was not in good health with all the symptoms of being infarcted.
A patrol of the Traffic Sub-sector of Las Palmas immediately went to the place, where the agents of the Traffic Association applied a security protocol for these cases, requesting an ambulance in which they transported their driver to the Insular Hospital.
At the same time, the Civil Guard also assisted the driver's family in the aforementioned route – spouse and minor – who were subsequently also transferred to the hospital in their own vehicle, driven by one of the patrol's components.
To this day the assisted man is in good health and has already returned with his family to his country of origin.
