A birthday party leaves 22 infected with covid in the Canary Islands



Canary Islands registered in the last week 266 new outbreaks of covid-19, with 1,262 linked cases. Of these, 130 correspond to Tenerife, seven to La Palma, one to La Gomera and another to El Hierro.

Precisely, one of the most numerous corresponds to that originated after a birthday party on La Palma, where the number of infected reaches, at the moment, 22 people.

It's one of the seven sprouts which has generated more than 10 associated cases, although there are also two in the educational field in Tenerife and with family and / or social branches, with 18 and 15 cases, respectively.

In Tenerife there has also been a work-related one, with eight infected in a food industry company, and another of an educational nature, with four cases.

Regarding the sports shoots, one has been reported in a gym on La Palma and affects eight people, another has occurred in Tenerife and is linked to boxing and has five associated cases, and another has been registered in a gym in Tenerife and has five people involved .

There is also a health outbreak with family branching, notified in the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria that affects four people: two patients and two relatives.

49 old outbreaks are also being monitored in the Canary Islands, some of which have increased in number of cases. Thus, there is a social outbreak with 59 involved reported in a nightlife venue on La Palma, a sports venue in Tenerife with 32 cases; and another social / family with 30 people involved in Tenerife.
