77% of Spaniards prefer cash as a payment method in travel



77% of Spaniards prefer cash as a method of payment when traveling, a percentage that exceeds 89% in young people aged 18 to 24 years with incomes of less than 12,000 euros per year, according to a study by Global Exchange, a service company of currency exchange in airports.

After the interviews carried out in a sample of between 18 and 75 years, most of the payments in cash, 84%, are less than 50 euros and the most consumed products in cash are those of stationery, pharmacy and parapharmacy and feeding.

Practically all of the Spaniards, 99.2%, carry cash with them and the most usual amounts are 20 and 50 euros either for the greater freedom to use it anywhere (44.4%), the greatest control of spending (41.7%) or speed and agility in payments (35%).
