62% of the administered doses are used to complete the vaccination regimen

62% of the vaccines that have been administered in the Archipelago (632,722 out of 1,011,610 doses supplied so far) have been used to complete the vaccination schedule for canaries. In other words, six out of ten vaccines administered in the Canary Islands have been given to people who now have the full schedule. In total, 316,361 people have the two doses of some of the three vaccines with this therapeutic dosage: Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca. This means 16.9% of the target population that should receive vaccination in the Canary Islands (1,871,033 people). On the other hand, 403,165 people have received a dose, which makes up a total of 719,526 who have some type of immunization against the coronavirus in the Canary Islands, that is, 38.49%. Groups 1 and 2 are both at 100% while group 4, of the great dependents, are at 94.1% with two doses.

The situation is also favorable for group 5, over 65 years of age, since 98.22% have already received one dose and 67.9% both. Those under 60 at risk of severe Covid-19, which includes 11,672 people, have also made positive progress in vaccination, since 48.18% have the complete schedule and 65.8% have received at least a dose. Group 3, of health workers not attached to the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS), have also received two doses, but only 27.8%, which is related to the fact that part of this group was vaccinated with Moderna and not AstraZeneca. The rest of the groups that have received their turn to vaccinate against covid-19 have only received one dose. This is the case of essential personnel (63.7% with one dose), people between 60 and 65 years old (65.13%) and those between 50 and 59 years old (30.9%).

24% make an appointment on the web

The website that the Ministry of Health has opened to schedule vaccination appointments for those under 50 and over 16 years of age is being quite successful. Just three days after its launch, a total of 255,000 people over the age of 16 have signed up to receive this appointment. This represents approximately 25% of the target population included in these age groups, which amounts to 1,040,662 people. Yesterday it was already possible to check it in the Canarian Health Service app or on the pre-appointment website itself, while others received an SMS with their next appointment. | VP
