60% of canaries between 60 and 65 years old have already received at least one dose of the vaccine

60 percent of canaries with an age between 60 and 65 years have already received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, as reported by the CHealth Department.

In total, since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, the islands have administered 941,778 doses of vaccines against COVID-19, of the 1,000,270,770 received, which represents 94.15 percent of arrivals to the islands. .

Until yesterday, Friday, the immunization of 299,562 peoples, so that 16.01 percent of the target population (1,871,033 people) in the Canary Islands have completed their vaccination schedule having already received two doses of the vaccine.

Likewise, in the Archipelago there are already 659,063 people who have received at least one dose of the vaccine, that is, 35.22 percent of the target population.

By groups, after immunization with two doses of groups 1 and 2 (those corresponding to residents and workers of social health centers and first-line health professionals), vaccination continues with the rest of the groups established following the criteria of vulnerability and exposition.

Health highlighted here that group 4, that of large household dependents, is 94.41 percent immunized with the two doses. As for group 5, there are already 188,035 people who have received both doses, that is, 65.98 percent. While 276,250 have received at least one dose, 96.94 percent.

Group 3 is already one hundred percent with one dose and 29.47 percent with two doses; and group 6, made up of 66,000 people, which includes teachers, firefighters and policemen, among other groups, 38,824 people have been vaccinated, 58.82 percent with one dose.

Of group 7, which includes the population under 60 years of age at risk of severe COVID-19, there are 11,495 people since they have been vaccinated with one dose, 64.82 percent of the target population.

62.63 percent of people between 60 and 65 years that make up group 8 have already received at least one dose (99,668); as well as 21.33 percent of those in group 9, those between 50 and 59 years old, of whom 74,758 have already received their first dose.
