The 59th edition of the Blume Gran Canaria Festival will develop 33 sports modalities in nine Grancanarian municipalities: Arucas, Agüimes, Ingenio, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Mogán, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Santa Brígida, Santa Lucía and Telde. All with more than 4,000 athletes in their program. "1,000 of them from more than 15 countries including Dimanarca, Holland, Slovenia, Russia, Italy, Great Britain and Switzerland," said the secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Blume Gran Canaria, Jesús Telo.
These 33 sessions will take place between November 23 and 30. In addition, Telo added that the 2019 Blume offers four International Tournaments: the VII International Cup of GR Blume Gran Canaria, the TeamGym, the I International Judo Tournament for Clubs and the XV Matinal of Judo Blume Gran Canaria, and the VI International Cup of Aerobics for sets.
The advisor of sports from the Cabildo Grancanario, Francisco Castellano, said that Gran Canaria "needs" this type of event. "These are events of great organizational and sporting quality, where perseverance means that success levels are reached such as those reached by this Festival. This event places us on the international map of gymnastics, as more athletes come to our land of 15 countries, "he said.
