350 roads still troubled by the snow and ice of Filomena
Madrid, Jan 15 (EFE) .- A total of 350 roads are still affected by snow and ice left by the storm Filomena, which maintains the use of chains on a single main road, the CM-43 in Illescas (Toledo) , according to the latest data from the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT).
In that province, on the Autovía de la Sagra, the CM-43 remains impassable, near Illescas, while the situation has improved on the CM-41, in Cedillo del Condado, as it passes through Valmojado, where it is prohibited the transition to articulated trucks and vehicles but chains are no longer required for the rest of the drivers.
Of the secondary network, 32 roads are closed and in another 44 the use of chains or winter tires is mandatory.
The DGT recommends caution at this time to prevent fog banks in Salamanca (A-66), Zamora (A-62), Lugo (A-8) and Badajoz (A-5).
