The number of registered unemployed in the offices of the Public Employment Services in Spain fell by 210,484 in 2018, with a year-on-year reduction rate of 6.17%. Thus, the total number of unemployed stood at the end of the year at 3,202,297.
As reported Thursday by the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security, unemployment continues at its lowest levels of the last nine years, after chaining six consecutive years to the downside.
In December, the number of unemployed people decreased by 50,570 people compared to the previous month, by 1.55%. In seasonally adjusted terms, unemployment fell that month by 8,746 people.
