CaixaBank will welcome the first baby born in 2020 in the Canary Islands with the opening of a Star Book that will have a contribution of 2,000 euros. The initiative, framed within the program Newly born, aims to promote and encourage child savings. The entity celebrates the eleventh consecutive year of this action thanks to the reception it has had in society in previous editions. CaixaBank, chaired by Jordi Gual and whose CEO is Gonzalo Gortázar, will open the Star Book in the name of the baby, although the parents will appear as representatives. The child will also benefit from the advantages of the Star Book, including the exemption of commissions up to 25 years. The CaixaBank Newborn program allows the entity to promote child savings, a policy that has been developed since the mid-90s of the last century.
