200 scientists ask Involcan to coordinate volcanic surveillance in Spain

A total of 218 researchers linked to 102 scientific and academic institutions from 37 countries have signed a manifesto in which they propose the Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands (Involcan) to coordinate the scientific management of volcanic risk in Spain. Among the signatories are the former Secretary of State for Universities and Research of the Government of Spain, Salvador Ordóñez, and the former rector of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Rafael Robaina.
