The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has reported that, since the coronavirus outbreak originated, a total of 17 users of the Núñez de Balboa residence in Albacete have died from this cause, and that there are currently ten other users that have been positive.
The vice president of the Community Board of Castilla-La Mancha, José Luis Martínez Guijarro, reported at a press conference after the Government Council held on Tuesday about the situation of this residence for the elderly in Albacete, to which a “special monitoring” and it will be disinfected.
Martínez Guijarro has indicated that, in total, 17 users of this nursing home have died, ten of whom have died in the residence itself, the last of them on Sunday, March 22, and another seven, at the Hospital of Albacete.
In addition, it has indicated that at the moment there are ten users who have tested positive for coronavirus, five of whom are being treated at the residence and another five are admitted to the Albacete hospital.
On the other hand, in a statement, Podemos Albacete, who has numbered 21 people who died of coronavirus in this residence, has opined that this center, whose owner is the Junta de Castilla-La Mancha, “is the involuntary protagonist of the episode more black “of the province of Albacete, to date, in this crisis.
