A total of fifteen media, three of them air, continue working on the extinction of the forest fire that was declared last Saturday in Paterna del Madera (Albacete), and that is controlled from 22:44 hours on Sunday.
In addition to the three aerial resources, eleven terrestrial and one coordination media work in the extinction work, which makes a total of 71 people, according to the website of information on forest fires of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha.
The area affected by the fire in this area of the Sierra del Segura, which corresponds mostly to pine forests, has not yet been made known, and was caused by an uncontrolled burning of stubble that spread through the mountain.
Since the fire was declared at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, 77 media outlets have participated in the extinction work, including 8 airplanes, and 453 people.
Among them were 70 members of the Military Emergency Unit (UME), as well as two Canadair amphibious planes, two large-capacity helicopters and a communications plane that was sent on Sunday by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
