Carnival remains the central theme to enjoy a great night. This Friday, March 18 at 9:00 p.m., the celebration of the Drag Queen Gala is scheduled on the stage of Parque Santa Catalina. This is one of the most anticipated galas of the entire carnival period.

Despite this, other activities are also planned that you can do to enjoy these days of rest. As every week we show you some plans that can be carried out in the Canary Islands from today until Sunday.

Gran Canaria: «Altarpiece» (Theater)

Tenerife: «Behind the horizon line» (Exhibition)

In Tenerife you can visit the exhibition “Behind the horizon line”. This retrospective, co-produced by TEA and the Center for Contemporary Creation of Andalusia C3A, addresses Adnan's extensive creative activity and formal experimentation through fifty of his works (paintings, drawings, leporellos, ceramics, textiles and films in super 8). In addition to this, it should be noted that this exhibition -curated by Álvaro R. Fominaya together with the TEA team- includes a video installation by the artistic collective The Otolith Group. Ethel Adnan.

The inauguration will be

Lanzarote: «Maidan» (Film projection)

Solidarity screening of the documentary «Maidan», by Sergei Loznitsa (Ukraine, 2014) organized by the Tenique Cultural Association with the collaboration of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, HiVision, Tecnosound, EcoEntradas, Bruto. The entrance costs 5 euros, and the

Fuerteventura: "The island as origin and destination" (Exhibition)

Juan Gopar (Lanzarote, 1958) has been building a multidisciplinary work, which goes beyond the watertight compartments of the disciplines, and which involves painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, bookmaking and installation. A personal language full of memory and experience. A work full of meaning and also of love and sensitivity towards the place where he was born and whose deep essence he has made an effort to underline and preserve.

This free sample will be
available until April 30. It can be visited from Tuesday to
Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sundays and Mondays closed. It is located in the Juan Ismael Art Center: C/ Almirante Lallermand, 30.

La Gomera: «O Matter | XVII Festival of Religious Music of the Canary Islands» (Concert)

The XVII edition of the Canary Islands Religious Music Festival arrives on the island of La Gomera

Madeleine Annette Bonneaud (Limoges, 1921-Madrid, 1991), known as Maud Bonneaud and Maud Westerdah, was a French surrealist multidisciplinary artist who excelled in the discipline of enamel.

an exhibition by Iranian artist Arita Shahrzad. Human, All Too Human is a sculptural project with architectural, philosophical and poetic resonances, made up of works created in Iran.
